City police on Tuesday claimed to have killed three members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an alleged encounter in SITE area. According to police, the encounter took place in wee hours of Tuesday when the terrorists attacked a police mobile in the jurisdiction of Pak Colony police station in SITE area; however the police officials remained unhurt, while the three suspected terrorists received fatal bullet injuries in exchange of fire with the police.
The police arrested three suspects. They were moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment, but succumbed to their injuries. Police further said that the deceased were hailing from 'Swat valley district Matta" Arms and hand grenades were also recovered from their possessions, they claimed. Police further said that they have arrested some 77 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of metropolis during last 24 hours. Police also claimed to have recovered arms from their possession.
