Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that he will lead the 'Azadi march' to Islamabad on August 14 at any cost. He was addressing a gathering of party's activists and office bearers here on Tuesday. He urged the Pakistanis to take part in the 'Million March' for the sake of their children's future. He said they will march on August for a new Pakistan, which is only possible through a change in the existing electoral system. "We will establish the Quaid's Pakistan with the power of people," he added.
He invited other political parties to join the 'Azadi march' for electoral reform and protest against rigging of election in Punjab, Sindh and Karachi, and added that on August 14 people believe in status quo will be exposed. On internally-displaced persons (IDPs), Imran said before the start of the military operation, he had warned the government about displacement of over 700,000 tribal people, of which 350,000 are children. He blamed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the displacement of people and added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and PTI were not informed about the operation. "Despite limited resources, we will look after the IDPs," he added. He also urged the federal government to refrain from playing politics on the issue of IDPs. He stated that he would try "election riggers" under Article 6 of the Constitution. Earlier, PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi also spoke on the occasion.
