City police on Thursday claimed to have arrested around 54 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of metropolis during last 24 hours. According to police, they have conducted some 68 targeted raids and four encounters as part of ongoing Karachi operation that led the arrests of 54 alleged criminals involved in different criminal activities.
During the operations police arrested some 13 criminals under Arms act, 14 were arrested under Narcotics Act, eight absconders, three robbers/dacoits, and some 16 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the said time period. Police further claimed to have recovered 19 hand guns, three hand grenades, 3,715 gram hashish and 20 gram heroin from their possession.
