The Lahore High Court here on Thursday sought reply from Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) within fortnight in a petition filed by former MD PEPCO Munawar Baseer challenging NAB inquiry against him. The petitioner through his counsel pleaded that he held the post of MD PEPCO for a period of seven month in year 2007-08 and the then government launched several power production projects including Sumandari Rental Power Project.
He pointed out that NAB has initiated inquiry into alleged corruption and financial irregularities in the project and he has been summoned again and again. He and his family members were being harassed in the name of inquiry.
