Secretary Home Department Sindh, Dr Niaz Ali Abbasi has ordered inquiry against the police officers allegedly involved in extortion and high handedness on transporters, passengers on the Hub River Road. The Home Secretary has taken serious notice of complaints that police officers at Hub River Road in the area of Machko Police Station allegedly involved in extortions, plundering and high handedness being inflicted by them on transporters, passengers and road users, said a statement on Monday.
He has directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police South Zone Karachi to conduct fair and impartial inquiry and take legal action against the officers and submit report within 10 days.
