Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) recovered a 10-year-old kid, Master Abdullah, resident of Baloch Colony, who was kidnapped two days ago from Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of the city. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) AVCC Nasir Aftab told media on Monday that AVCC and CPLC planned a joint raid in Shah Faisal Colony area of the city and safely recovered Master Abdullah, aged 10, son of Muhammad Saleem.
SSP said AVCC and CPLC started searching the kid at different places, finally reached the hideout of kidnappers at Shah Faisal Colony where the abducted kid was kept. He said the kid was kept with a family, where the kidnapper Mehboob Ali, his wife and his 2-year-old child were also present. Nasir said the kidnapper was arrested along with family and abducted kid freed safely. Chief CPLC Ahmed Chinoy said action was taken after the complaint from the family. He said the kidnappers demanded Rs 10 million for ransom. Chinoy said this was the 9th successful operation during last 13 days in which 12 abducted ones have been recovered safely without payment of any ransom. He said the Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan congratulated AVCC and CPLC team for their efforts.
