The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast very hot and humid weather in most parts of the country on Wednesday. However, it said isolated heavy falls are expected at a few places in Kashmir, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during Thursday and Friday.
In its update of weekly weather outlook, PMD said that light to moderate moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating into north eastern parts of the Punjab and Kashmir. Monsoon currents are likely to become stronger over upper parts of the country on Wednesday (night) till Saturday and expected to weaken gradually. On Wednesday very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Hazara and Mirpur Khas divisions.
On Thursday, rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), KP, while at isolated places in Multan, Sahiwal, D.G Khan, Kalat, Zhob divisions and south-east Sindh (Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas divisions). Isolated heavy falls are also expected at a few places in Kashmir, and Gujranwala divisions.
On Friday, rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions), KP. On Saturday, rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions), KP, while at isolated places in Mirpurkhas and Kalat division.
On Sunday, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions) and upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions). Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country. On Monday, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions) and upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions). Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
