Expressing deep anguish and concern over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza due to relentless Israeli aggression, the PML-N government has taken the right step by calling for an unconditional cease-fire and an immediate end to the Gaza blockade.
Israeli military offensive has led to the killings of innocent, non-combatant, and unarmed Palestinians, including women and children, in Gaza. The Palestinian death toll has soared to near 800. As a result of relentless Israeli aggression 15 Palestinians were killed when an Israeli shell slammed into a UN-run school where hundreds of civilians had taken refuge.
Pakistan is expected to play its role towards mobilising international opinion to the ongoing atrocities in Palestine due to an Israeli military offensive. It is, however, highly unfortunate that the West seems to have greeted the Israeli aggression with complete silence and stillness.
