Wheat bags: NAB arrests food inspector, in-charge PRC

In an inquiry against officers of the Food Department Sukkur, Flour Mills owners Sukkur region and others, Adnan Ahmed Magsi s/o Siraj Ahmed Magsi, Food Inspector In-charge PRC Majeed Keerio, Shaheed Benazirabad Food Department were arrested by NAB Sindh.
The accused were found involved in misappropriation of wheat bags. The accused submitted VR application U/S 25 (A) NAO, 1999 to deposit the misappropriated amount of 3,987 missing wheat bags at rate of Rs 3,000/- per bag including penalty of Rs 200/- per bag applicable as per food policy. The total amount calculated is Rs 11,961,000/- of shortage of 3,987 wheat bags.-PR
