Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered Eid prayers at Masjid-e-Nabvi on Monday. He also offered Nawafil at Masjid-e-Nabvi and prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of Pakistan. The PM is in Saudi Arabia since July 20. He came here to perform Umrah along with his family.
Eid was also celebrated in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries on Monday. Similarly, Muslims in many western countries including the US and UK also celebrated Eid on Monday. Some Asian countries including Afghanistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine, Thailand and Bangladesh also celebrated Eid with large congregations and prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and people of Gaza facing Israeli atrocities.
