The European Union this week granted export licences for 540,000 tonnes of soft wheat, taking the total since the beginning of the 2014/2015 season on July 1 to 1.3 million tonnes, official data showed on Thursday. The EU also this week granted licences to export 118,000 tonnes of barley, bringing the total so far this season to 907,000 tonnes.
In imports, it awarded licences for 217,000 tonnes of maize, taking the volume so far in 2014/2015 to 1.1 million tonnes, the data showed.
