The prominent business leader and CEO TDAP SM Muneer said Friday that Pakistan at present is in a state of war and cannot afford any kind of political conflict, therefore, all the political parties should stop all kinds of political processions and protest in the wake of challenges being faced by the country.
This he stated at an Eid Milan reception organised by him in honour of Bashir Janmohammad, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Sardar Yaseen Mailk, Mian Zahid Hussain and Khalid Tawwab. Arif Habib and acting president FPCCI Shaukat Ahmed also spoke on the occasion. Syed Farukh Mazhar, Gulzar Firoz, Dawood Usman Jakura, Manazer A Nasir, Sultan Chawala, Abdus Sami Khan, Mailk Khuda Bakah, Yayha Polani, Munir Sultan and Rashid Siddiqui were also present at the reception.
"The present government is working hard on the agenda of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, for revival of economy," Muneer added. He said soon he would meet Nawaz Sharif to discuss the hurdles being faced by exporters to find ways and means to overcome them and boost exports. The present team of FPCCI is doing a good job and full support will be extended to it till next elections.
Bashir Janmohammad was of the view that many recommendations of business community were ignored in the federal budget. The FPPCI research like FIKI could provide fact and figures to the persons sitting at the helm and compel them to accept their demands.
He said that voice of business community was not heard as it supposed to be at the high echelons of the government machinery and therefore it was imperative that businessmen should be united and take full benefit of acumen of SM Muneer.
Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said we should not ignore the potential of businesswomen and seek their help. The acting president FPCCI said that in order to control expenses the present regime of FPCCI had refused to take travel expenses from the FPCCI. Soon the names of many would be disclosed who are involved in misappropriation of funds in construction of FPCCI building in Islamabad.
Khalid Tawwab said we have to overcome the crises of power and gas in order to revive the industrial activity.
