Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member National Assembly from Karachi, Dr Arif Alvi has said the PTI would not quit any seat from provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or national assembly until the demands for electoral reforms were accepted and implemented in letter and spirit.
He said the PTI would commence a long march toward Islamabad very peacefully but the government had in exercise of Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan placed the capital of the country under Army's control.
Dr Alvi expressed these views in a press conference he addressed on Friday at Karachi Press Club. He was accompanied by members provincial assembly (MPA) Samar Ali Khan, Khurram Sher Zaman, Dr Seema Zia, Syed Hafeezuddin and others.
The PTI MNA said that the whole system of the government in Pakistan was based on forgery and hence the PTIO was on protest and if it would allow the government to stay for more 4 years, it would be too late to save the country.
The people had endured such atrocities for past 60 years but now under the banner of the PTI they would no longer bear the corrupt and fraudulent system of the government in Pakistan.
It would a freedom march on August 14 toward Islamabad, he claimed. Dr Alvi said since the premonitions were high that vacant seats might be re-occupied by more corrupt people, therefore the PTI would not resign from any provincial or national assembly. The PTI would not resign from any seat, he stressfully re-asserted.
He said had the government kept its promise in past one year, the PTI would not be on streets.
He said the overall law and order situation in Karachi was highly deteriorated as people fall victim of bullets from target killers' guns or drowned in Sea because of inefficiency of the government.
He said deaths by drowning in the Arabian Sea at Karachi's beech Sea View were solely owing to complete inefficiency of the Sindh government, Clifton Cantonment Board, Karachi Port Trust and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
The PTI leader said the provincial government had not imposed section 144 of the Cr PC for preventing people from entering Sea for bathing amid high and rough tides. All statements pertinent to imposition of section 144 were sheer lies and the provincial government was making lame excuses to escape the responsibility of deaths by drowning. People were embracing deaths whole their representatives were enjoying holidays abroad.
He demanded for judicial investigation into the Sea View Tragedy and those responsible for son many deaths should be taken to task.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Seema Zia said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was doing the politics for vested interest and was in coalition with Pakistan people's Party led Sindh government to receive its share from corruption.
She demanded the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take Suo Moto notice on Sea View Tragedy.
In his address, MPA Khurram Sher Zaman said the Sindh government was responsible for the Sea View Tragedy.
In his address, MPA Syed Hafeezuddin said that Karachi was facing acute water crisis and it was the MQM behind the water crisis because the MQM had occupied the Karachi Water and sewerage Board and water hydrants.
