IDPs' Relief Fund: Shahbaz appeals philanthropists to donate generously

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said it is our national and religious obligation to provide help and assistance to the people of North Waziristan displaced due to war waged against terrorism. He said Punjab government through a transparent system had distributed financial assistance of crores of rupees among migrated families whereas the same distribution among 54,000 affected families was being restarted soon.
The CM said that on his appeal, philanthropists were donating generously in the CM's Relief Fund set up for IDPs, adding the government was distributing donations among displaced families in a transparent manner. He said this while talking to Pakistan Muslim League-N Assembly Members and office-bearers at Murree on Saturday.
He said Punjab government would construct 2,000 houses, a modern hospital, university and Daanish school in North Waziristan after establishment of peace and end of war against terrorism. The CM said that a mobile hospital had also been sent from Punjab government for providing treatment facilities to the affected families, adding that it had also dispatched fodder for the livestock of IDPs.
He said it was high time to serve the IDPs instead of indulging in politics of chaos. Shahbaz Sharif said that in view of the present situation, it was not appropriate to do the politics of protest as the country could not afford it rather it was the time of unity. The CM said Punjab government would not leave alone affected families of North Waziristan in that hour of trial because they were facing difficulties for peace in Pakistan.
He said helping affected families, rendering sacrifices for the peace and stability of motherland was the duty of every Pakistani, adding that the spirit of those helping their brethren in that hour of trial was commendable. He said well-to-do and philanthropists should donate generously in CM's Relief Fund and spare no effort in their succor and rehabilitation. He said Pakistani nation was indebted to the people of North Waziristan for their sacrifice for the security of the country. He expressed the hope that "Pakistan would become a haven of peace again and our brothers and sisters will soon return to their homes in North Waziristan and live peacefully."
