Commuters experienced great inconvenience for several hours on Saturday as a result of blockade on Hyderabad-Tando Muhammad Khan Road where traders of Zeal Pak Market held demonstration against demolition of their business place by Highways Department.
The demonstrators including Muhammad Qasim Rajput, Sher Khan and Asghar Ali alleged that the market was being demolished by the Highways Department on the instigation of influential land mafia, as the traders had refused their demand of extortion. They asked the Sindh Government to take action against land mafia and provide protection from extortionists. The traffic resumed after the demonstrators ended their protest.
