Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain criticised double standard politics of the government saying that rulers had also took out Long March when they were in opposition and now they are opposing the same long march by other parties. Addressing the parliamentary committee meeting here, he said the country was faced with political turmoil, and everyone should move forward and forget the past.
"People are still facing problems of inflation, water, electricity; they need solution of the problems", he said. He criticised government over sectarian killings in Karachi. Hussain said that PAT leader Tahirul Qadri should not be arrested as it would create more trouble in the country. Altaf Hussain also criticised the Pakistan Protection Ordinance (PPO), declaring it as a black law.
