National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday arrested Mohammad Irshad, father of main accused Sheraz Khan, ex-official of private bank who is allegedly involved in embezzlement of over Rs 100 million in connivance with other accused including officials of Peshawar Development Authority, Peshawar.
During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that accused Mohammad Irshad in connivance with his son Sheraz Khan, PDA Account Officer Nadeem Shad and other accused persons managed to open a bank account, transferred huge amount from the Account of Peshawar Development Authority and caused huge loss to Government Exchequer by embezzlement of over Rs 100 million. NAB Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is actively pursuing the investigation and role of those who are involved in this case is also expected to be unearthed. The accused person will be presented in the Accountability Court for obtaining his physical remand tomorrow.
