Apropos a news item "Lab tests confirm substandard: TCP rejects sugar stocks of two mills," carried by Business Recorder on June 17, 2014, Pattoki Sugar Mills (Pvt) Limited and Baba Farid Sugar Mills have clarified that they are producers of premium quality sugar, being consumed in local market and also exported to different countries with no complaint whatsoever.
They said the matter of sample rejection by TCP and PCSIR is sub-judice before the Lahore High Court and claimed that information given by TCP is completely false and baseless. In addition, the report issued by the PCSIR has been challenged by them in the appropriate court of law, which will give its finding on the issue.-PR
