At least 11 people including a police cop and a woman were injured in a blast targeting the police convoy in Chaman Qilla Abdullah district of Balochistan on early hours of Thursday. The act of subversion was executed near the house of Additional Deputy Commissioner Chaman Killa Abdullah district on Mall Road. "One policeman and 10 civilians suffered injuries as a result of a powerful blast," Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sardar Abdul Majeed told APP. Condition of the victims was out of danger, he said.
"Unidentified men had fitted explosives with the motorbike and parked it on Mall Road," SHO City Shahid Salim said. The blast also damaged two vehicles and five nearby shops. Security has been beefed up in the border town and LEAs have been asked to launch manhunt for the arrest of the perpetrators, the RPO said.
