Former double world champion Jorge Lorenzo on Thursday signed a new two-year deal with Yamaha which will keep him at the team until 2016. The 27-year-old Spaniard joins team-mate Valentino Rossi in committing himself to Yamaha after the veteran Italian also penned a two-year extension in July. "I am very happy to finally be able to make this announcement. It is a relief to be able to now completely focus on the remainder of the 2014 season in the knowledge that our relationship will continue for the next two seasons," said Lorenzo, the 2010 and 2012 world champion.
