Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force has no parallel in bravery and honesty. This he said while addressing an award distribution ceremony held at CPO Peshawar on Monday, which was arranged in honour of Traffic Ticketing Officer, Sub-Inspector Umer Khan who had found the bag fell from the bank security vehicle in Rampura Gate Peshawar containing an amount of Rs 13 million and returned it to the concerned bank.
Addressing the ceremony, the police chief said KP police was most courageous and honest force of the country and its jawan had practically demonstrated it from time to time in line of duty. He showered towering tributes to the honesty and integrity of the said officer by saying that it was a big trial and examination for the officer in which Allah emerged him victorious which bespoke volume of his strong faith, honesty, integrity and professionalism.
He further informed that Umer Khan has added another feather in the rich cap of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police this time in context of honesty and thus make not only the KP police, but, the entire people of the province proud on it. The IGP informed that he had full confident that Allah Al-mighty will bestow the officer more than what he had returned to the national exchequer. He gave a full hug to the officer and termed him a role model for the rest of the police of the force. On this occasion, the IGP awarded the Traffic Ticketing Officer with cash award of Rs 25,000 and commendation certificate.
