Non-availability of form: FBR asked to extend ST filing date

Pakistan Tax Bar Association and Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) on Monday requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the date of filing of monthly sales tax return for the tax period July 2014 till August 31, 2014. In the letters sent to FBR headquarters, associations said that no monthly sales tax return form for the taxpayer July 2014 had been uploaded on FBR's web portal so far, creating difficulties for the taxpayers.
Therefore, associations have requested to upload monthly sales tax return for the tax period July 2014, on the web portal at the earliest. The letters further stated that if any change in the sales tax return was being made, the same should first be discussed with the associations for comments. Meanwhile, associations have further appealed the FBR to extend the date of filing of monthly sales tax return for the tax period July 2014 till August 31, 2014.
