Priyanka in hot water for portraying Indians as terrorists framing Pakistan

Priyanka Chopra has landed herself in trouble after an episodes of her American drama series ‘Quantico’ struck a wrong chord with the audience.

The episode features a group of Indian nationalists, who plot a bomb blast in Manhattan, New York, with the ultimate intention of framing Pakistan for the incident. The episode has irked many viewers, as Indians expressed outrage on Twitter at the implication that an Indian could be a terrorist.

In particular, they took a dig at Chopra as seemingly she 'maligns' her own country. The episode is also littered with references to and jokes about India-Pakistan rivalry. To many in India, the plot twist implicating Indians in a terrorist act, especially over the touchy issue of Kashmir, has made it even worse.
