Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) senior leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Thursday claimed that police "resisted" the orders of blocking activists of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) through use of force, resultantly, the government had left with no option except to allow them to continue "Inquilab March."
Talking to media after launching the revolution march leading a caravan of the PML-Q workers from his Gulberg residence on Thursday, Elahi maintained that the PML-Q along with PAT and other allied parties are waging a just struggle for restoring true democratic order in the country.
"We all are onboard and roads and would return back from Islamabad without resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and registration of FIR against Shahbaz Sharif over killings in Model Town," he said. He said Sharif brothers must realise that people want freedom from their monarchy. We are struggling for a new Pakistan, he added. Elahi also received PAT Chief at Ferozepur Road amid slogans of success of March.
On the other hand, Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood Khan totally rejected the claim of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi that police resisted the orders of Punjab government of blocking PAT activists. Rana said those who plundered national wealth and set records of corruption are talking about revolution.
