City police on Saturday claimed to have arrested around 66 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of metropolis on Saturday Police said that they conducted 75 raids and two encounters as a part of Karachi operation and arrested 90 criminals who were allegedly involved in various criminal activities.
During the raids police arrested 19 criminals under Arms Act. 17 were arrested under Narcotics Act, four absconders, three dacoits/robbers, one extortionist, and some 22 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested. Police further said that they have recovered 24 handguns, one hand grenade, 3070 gram Hashish, and eight bottles of Liquor from the possession of the criminals.
