Jamaat-i-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the international community after the JI's "Gaza Million March" has now fully understood that the entire Muslim Ummah wanted independence of Gaza. He was speaking to the participants of "Gaza Million March" held under the aegis of JI on main Sharea Faisal between Baloch Colony and Finance and Trade Centre(FTC) to express solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Participants of rally, including women, children and elderly people, chanted slogans against Israel and the United States for the atrocities being committed on the people of Gaza.
They were also carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans such as "Get Free Gaza", "Down with Israel and the USA", "Labbaik Ya Gaza".
Speaking on the occasion, the JI chief said that the people of Karachi are with the people of Gaza and will remain with them till they get independence.
Reiterating that the JI would not accept the existence of Israel at any cost, Haq deplored that although Muslim countries despite having an army of more than 70,00,000, were playing a role silent spectator over the Israel's acts of barbarism.
He said that the JI has already dispatched funds amounting to Rs50million, a convoy of paramedics and ambulance for the people of Gaza", he added.
He said that Pakistan's 180million people were ready to sacrifice their lives for the independence of Gaza.
On the occasion, he appealed to the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to work for the safety of the country's ideology.
He assured the nation that the JI would turn the country into a true welfare state where supremacy of law and justice would prevail.
Reiterating that the JI wanted reforms in electoral reforms and transparency in electoral process, he described the elections held in Karachi as `selection' and plunder of the public mandate.
At the outset, the JI chief urged the political parties to always prefer discussions to help solve the country's problems.
He was of the view that the leaders, including Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, believed in the supremacy of Constitution.
A central leader of Hamas, Dr Khalid Mashal, in his telephonic address, lauded Pakistanis for expressing their solidarity with the people of Gaza.
On this occasion, he vowed that the Hamas and the people of Gaza would continue their struggle against the USA and Israeli army.
Former JI chief, Syed Munnawar Hasan, appreciated the efforts of the Jamaat in organising such a huge rally in support of the oppressed and suppressed people of Gaza.
He regretted that the rulers of 56 Muslim countries across the world remained silent over the Israeli's atrocities against the innocent people of Gaza.
On this occasion, he demanded immediate cease-fire and removal of Israeli's forces from the besieged Gaza.
"Hamas, Hezbullah and Taliban have been fighting for the real cause of Muslim Ummah, he said, adding that if the rulers of Muslim countries failed to play their due role in this regard, only then the Muslim fighters came forward to safeguard the interest of Muslims.
Expressing his gratitude to the participants of the "Gaza Million March", JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that "USA and Israel are our enemies and people of Gaza are our friends."
He urged the Muslim rulers to come forward and play their due role over the issue of Gaza.
On the occasion, he also thanked the leaders of different political parties, bussiness community and people belonging to different walks of life for participating in "Gaza Million March".
Nazim of IJT Karachi, Muhammad Bilal, said that the gathering of millions of people has proved that Karachiites were with the people of Gaza.
President Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Karachi, Dr Muzzamil, said that the people of Gaza would defeat Israeli army with their courage.
Deploring over the killing of infants and women and elderly people in Gaza, JUP leader Dr Siddiq Rathore said that it seemed as if the Muslim rulers have accepted the slavery of USA.
Leaders of other political parties, including the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah, Nehal Hashmi, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Basharat Mirza, Maulana Umer Sadiq, Younus Sohan, Mirza Yousuf Baig, Qadir Patel and KPC President Imtiaz Faran urged the Muslim Ummah, to play their role to help save the innocent people from the atrocities of Israel.
On the occasion, newly elected JI MPA Abdul Razzaq presented 'Nishan-e-Imtiaz' to JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq.
Nazim IJT Karachi also presented a cheque for Rs0.5million to JI Chief for the people of Gaza.
Later, the participants of rally set ablaze the flags of United States and Israel to express their hatred against their policies.
