Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has suspended the Election Tribunal's judgement sacking Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, member provincial assembly (MPA) in Sindh Irfanullah Khan Marwat from MPA position. Henceforth, Marwat was restored to his previous position as MPA.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Abdul Rauf Siddiqui had challenged the victory of Marwat on a provincial assembly seat PS-114 at the ET and after a yearlong hearing of the case, the ET had issued a notification and declared Marwat as losing candidate. However, Marwat had challenged the ET's judgement in the SC, which suspended the ET's judgement.
