The phase to file nomination papers for the FCCI election (2014-15) has been started while the nomination papers would be received up to August 25, 2014. This was disclosed in a meeting of the FCCI Election Commission held in the committee room of FCCI here today. It was attended by all the three members namely Shahid Ahmed Sheikh, Muhammad Ayub Manj and Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz.
The election Commission expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the election and noted it with pleasure that not even a single objection has been received up to the issuance of the final voter's list. The members of the EC said that it was making best possible efforts with complete honesty and impartiality to ensure election in a most fair, free and transparent manner.
They thanked FCCI members for reposing full confidence in the Election Commission and assured that remaining all stages of election would also be completed up to the entire satisfaction of voters. They further said that final voter's list has been displayed at the notice board of FCCI. The same has also been uploaded on the FCCI website while its copy has also been dispatched to the Regulator as per laid down procedure.
They said that now the next phase to file nomination papers has been started. Duly stamped nomination papers are available from FCCI office that would be received back at 5.00 PM of August 25, 2014. They further said that in case of any problem, the voters could contact any member of the FCCI Election Commission who is available round the clock.
