14th ITCN Asia 2014, the biggest ICT Expo in the history of Pakistan, along with Broadcast Pakistan/Content Exchange Pakistan Expo and Security Asia, will be held at Karachi Expo Centre from August 26 to 28. The event is being held under the aegis of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd which, according to the organisers, is recognized as the focal point for the IT & Telecom Industry.
This year, ITCN Asia will be showcasing, for the first time in Pakistan, 3G & 4G technology at the exhibition. A conference on the theme "3G & 4G - Impetus to Growth" is also part of the event. ITCN Asia is the only ICT Expo of the country that is being held for the 14th time and has attracted more than 30 foreign companies and 80 foreign visitors. The ITCN Asia promises to deliver yet another powerful ICT expo which puts Pakistan on the global ICT map.
It is for the first time in the history of ITCN Asia, Microsoft Corporation Pakistan, MIT Enterprise Forum of Pakistan and Ecommerce Gateway, have joined hands together to organise an event that will host 200 to 250 students/developers from different universities. They will develop different window-phone applications and the best application will be awarded.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's (PTA) Chairman Syed Ismail Shah will inaugurate the Expo on August 26 while Nadra's Chairman Muhammad Ahmed Tajwar, State Bank of Pakistan's deputy Governor Kazi Abdul Muktadir and Pakistan Software Export Board's Managing Director Asim Shahryar Husain would grace the occasion by their presence.
