LONDON: Nigeria's Nembe Creek Trunk crude oil pipeline has been closed for three days for repair work, operator Aiteo said on Monday.
The pipeline, one of two that carries Nigeria's Bonny Light crude to the coast for export, suffered a leak last month that prompted Royal Dutch Shell, which markets this oil grade, to declare force majeure on shipments on May 17.
"There was a shut-in on Friday," Aiteo said in an emailed statement.
Bonny Light is Nigeria's third-largest crude oil stream behind Forcados and Qua Iboe.
A Shell spokesman said earlier on Monday that the force majeure on Bonny shipments remained in place.
