Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while talking to a delegation of Assembly members here on Monday said PML-N government is making sincere efforts to remove darkness from the country. He said Assembly members should personally monitor public welfare schemes. According to him, the principles of hard work, honesty and trust will have to be adopted for bringing the country out of numerous problems and putting it on the road to progress.
Shahbaz said the PML-N wants to serve the masses and improve the living standard of deprived segments of the society. He also said every possible step is being taken for providing relief to the common man and mega projects are being completed in the province for this purpose. He reiterated to make Punjab an exemplary province with regard to development.
"An effective strategy has been evolved for accelerating the process of industrialisation, promoting investment and development activities for overcoming problems like poverty and unemployment," he added. He said best facilities are being given to the investors in this regard and all possible steps are being taken for the promotion of industries and development activities throughout the province.
A target has been fixed to create four million job opportunities during the next four years and this target will be achieved. The CM stressed upon MPAs to come forward for eradication of corruption and ensure transparent completion of development schemes.
