All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) has called for the announcement of special relief package for business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The call was made during a luncheon organised by Saleem Saifullah Khan, a member of APTMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Those who attended were Senator Osman Saifullah Khan, Barrister Assad Saifullah Khan, Afan Aziz, Sikandar Kuli Khan Khattak, Liaquat Ali Khan, Mohammad Hussain Shah, Mohammad Taimour Shah and Fazle Subhan.
Addressing the function, the speakers said that terrorism and natural disasters had played havoc with the economy of the province and it had left far behind in the development. They said the association is making efforts that the government should pay special attention to the promotion of business activities and specially on the development of textile sector in the province.
They said that due to peculiar situation, the province is the victim of backwardness and business community is worst affected. They demanded of the government for announcement of special incentive package for the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The participants welcomed the decision of Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court regarding Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC). Meanwhile, Barrister Assad Saifullah Khan filed nomination papers for the office of chairmanship of APTMA KP. The elections will be held on September 17.
