ECP briefs electoral reforms body

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) briefed the members of Electoral Reforms Committee on the proposed reforms put forth by the commission. The committee met with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair here on Tuesday. Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan presented the proposed reforms before the committee and briefed about them (proposed reforms) to ensure transparency in the future elections.
He briefed the committee on electoral laws and procedure and made recommendations for amendment in the existing election law and procedures for improving transparency and reliability, including introduction of modern technology.
