Acting President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Shaukat Ahmed has expressed his concern over the present political situation in the country; maintaining that it has created many economic and social issues for the country.
The on-going political crisis has badly affected the economic activities in the country including foreign exchange reserves, control over inflation and poverty, and the relief and rehabilitation process of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as well, he added in a statement issued here on Tuesday. He appealed to all political leaders of the country to keep the economy of the country separate from politics. Shaukat Ahmed said Pakistan army is engaged in operation Zarb-e-Azb which is very important for our survival. The prosperity and future of the country depends on its success.
The business community appreciates Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and fully supports his efforts for maintaining peace in tribal areas of the country. Pakistan army is serving a noble cause of placement of the IDPs at a time when political parties have ignored this important issue, he said.-PR
