Three people were killed while three others, including a policeman, were injured in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Tuesday. Mirza Shaukat Baig, son of Abdul Salam, and Shehroz, son of Abdul Majeed, were gunned down by unidentified people in Pirabad area of Orangi Town in the jurisdictions of Pirabad police station.
SHO Haq Nawaz said the incident took place a couple of hours before the dawn on Tuesday, when Mirza Shaukat Baig was sitting with his friend Shehroz outside his house, in the meantime two men on a motorbike came and opened indiscriminate fire from point blank range on them leaving both of them fatally injured. They were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where they succumbed to their injuries.
The Pirabad SHO said that the initial investigations have suggested that they might have been killed over personal enmity. He said the assailants used 20-bore pistol in the crime, the police have recovered empty bullet cases from the spot, SHO Haq Nawaz claimed.
Natha Lal, son of Devraj, was shot dead by unknown persons in Jamshed Road, located in the jurisdictions of Jamshed Quarters police station. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
A police constable named Abid, son of Hammad Hussain, who was presently posted in the Nazimabad police station, was injured by unidentified person in Kati Pahari. He was rushed to the ASH for medical assistance. Samina, wife of Sadiq, was stabbed inside here house at Niaz Manzil in North Nazimabad. She was rushed to ASH for treatment. In another case, Gulbadin, son of Ishaq, was shot and injured by dacoits while offering resistance. The incident took place in Abul Hassan Isphani Road, in the jurisdictions of Mobina Town police station. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medical assistance.
Amjad, son of Raheem Shah, was shot and injured by unidentified man in the jurisdictions of Shahra-e-Noor Jahan police station. He was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment. In the same way, Dilawar Khan, son of Gulzar, was injured by an armed man in Garden, Near Baba Zaman Graveyard. He was moved to the Civil Hospital for treatment.
