Professor Ayesha Shaukat honoured

President of Society of Surgeons of Pakistan and Professor of Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Professor Khalid Masood Gondal hosted a reception in honour of Professor Ayesha Shaukat on her appointment as Professor of Surgery. Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, President, CPSP, attended the ceremony as Chief Guest.
Former minister Rana Shaukat Mahmood, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Professor Asad Aslam Khan, Professor Azhar Hameed, Professor Qazi Muhammad Saeed, Professor Farid Ahmed Khan, Registrar, KEMU, Professor Irshad Hussain Qureshi, Professor Bilquis Shabbir, Professor Sadaqat Ali Khan, Professor Zafar ul Ahsan, Professor Nasir Zaidi, Professor Saqib Saeed, Professor Zahid Bashir, Professor Akmal Laeeq and Professor Khawar Ali and members of academic council attended the ceremony. Professor Ayesha Shaukat is the only female professor of surgery in the 150 years history of King Edward Medical University. Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry congratulated Professor Ayesha Shaukat and Professor Bilquis Shabbir on their appointment as Professors.
