The Punjab government has maintained that under the orders of Lahore High Court, an FIR on the Model Town incident was registered under those sections that were mentioned in the petition filed by Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran. According to a Punjab government spokesman here on Friday, it is on record that in the application filed for the registration of an FIR about the Model Town incident, no demand for applying sections pertaining to terrorism was made.
Therefore, as per allegations levelled by the lawyer of Minhaj-ul-Quran in the application, an FIR has been registered under sections 302, 324, 109, 148, 149, 395, 506 and 427.
