Environment Protection Agency (EPA), under its ongoing anti-dengue drive on Saturday sealed three places and inspected 29 sites. District Officer EPA, Mian Mohammad Nawaz told APP that EPA team inspected 11 tyre shops, 17 junkyards/godowns and a nursery. He said strict action is being taken against the violators of the orders of the government to save the public from the spread of dengue mosquitoes.
EPA teams also removed stagnant water from three dengue breeding sites while the team found no dengue larva from any site, he informed. Mian Mohammed Nawaz further said tyre shops, hotels, restaurants, nurseries, under construction sites and other vulnerable points are regularly being checked and special inspection is conducted to check dengue mosquito larva. As many as 26 sites were declared clear of dengue larva. The EPA would continue to conduct such raids until the dengue mosquito is eliminated, he added.
