The city police on Saturday arrested 76 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of the provincial metropolis during last 24 hours. Police said that their 88 raids and four encounters carried out as a part of the Karachi operation led to the arrests of 76 criminals who were allegedly involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations police arrested 12 booked under the Arms Act, 13 were booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 12 absconders, seven dacoits, two murderers, and 29 others involved in criminal activities were arrested during the said period. Police said that they have recovered 16 hand guns, 2100gram of Hashish and 44 bottles of liquors from the possession of criminals.
