Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Lahore staged a protest sit-in outside Punjab Assembly on a call given by PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday. PTI local leadership and PTI supporters from the city and adjoining areas participated in the protest sit-in. They all chanted slogans against PML-N government, calling for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to quit immediately.
It may be recalled that following a deadlock in government-PTI talks, Imran decided to mount pressure on the government by launching protests in four major cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Karachi. Addressing the sit-in, the PTI leaders, including Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said they have joined the protests on the call of their leader Imran Khan and they will continue with such protests till PM Nawaz Sharif submits his resignation.
