PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa politics enter into interesting phase as leader of eight political parties of the country file nomination papers for contesting elections from different national assembly seats of the province.
According to details, those who filed papers from KP included Shabaz Sharif of PML-N, Imran Khan of PTI, Bilawal Bhutto of PPP, Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F, Siraj-ul-Haq of JI, Asfandyar Wali Khan of Awami National Party, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Pervez Musharraf of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).
Political observers are making prediction of a touch electoral competition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as leadership of mainstream parties of the country are contesting for upcoming polls from the province.
The details of national assembly constituencies from where these leaders have submitted nomination papers are Siraj-ul-Haq of JI from NA: 7 (Lower Dir) and NA: 23 (Charsadda), Pervez Musharraf of APML from NA: 1 (Chitral), Mian Shabaz Sharif of PML(N) from NA: 3 (Swat), Imran Khan of PTI from NA: 35 (Bannu), Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto from NA: 8 (Malakand), Asfandyar Wali Khan of ANP from NA: 24 (Charsadda), Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI(F) from NA: 38 and NA: 39 (D.I.Khan) and Aftab Sherpap of QWP from NA: 23.
In case if Siraj-ul-Haq of JI, who belongs to Lower Dir District, did not withdraw his nomination papers from NA: 23 (Charsadda), he will lock horns with Aftab Sherpao of QWP.
