ANF recovered 3534-kg Charas, 19-Kg Heroin and 2.4-kg Opium in 6 different operations launched at Islamabad, Lahore, Haripur, Sukkur, Qilla Abdullah and Turbat, besides apprehending five persons. According to details, ANF Quetta in intelligence led operation seized 3043-kg Charas from Killi Chota Habib Zai, Dashti Lorah, Tehsil Gulistan; District Qilla Abdullah, which was concealed at an uninhabited site in the cuttings of mountainous terrain and was intended to be transported to Iran.
In another operation, ANF Quetta seized 16-kg Heroin (Crystal), which was concealed under Old Kech River Bridge, near, Turbat City. The consignment was placed for handing over from one Narco-Gang to another, which was to be smuggled abroad via Gawadar. ANF Karachi intercepted a Hino Truck No TKL-458 near Jahan Khan, Sukkur-Shikarpur Road, Sukkur and recovered 490-kg Charas tactfully concealed in the fuel tank of the truck. Two accused were arrested at the spot.
ANF Lahore in an operation conducted near Niazi Bus Stand, Bund Road, Lahore arrested an accused Muhabat Khan r/o Mardan and recovered 2.4-kg Opium from his possession. ANF Peshawar apprehended Zia-Ul-Haq r/o Abbottabad in an operation conducted near Government Degree College, Haripur and recovered 1.2 Grams Charas from him. ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team arrested Habib-Ur-Rehman r/o Mianwali at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 2.8-kg Heroin concealed in his bag. He intended to take off for Dubai by Shaheen Airlines Flight No NL-221. All cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and investigations are under progress.-PR
