Veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Geelani, has expressing concern and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to heavy rains and floods in the territory. According to KMS, Ali Geelani said the rains and floods had exposed the puppet authorities that neither had any kind of arrangement to tackle the natural disaster and nor were they prepared to deal with these situations.
He expressed sympathy with the affected people and prayed for the peace to the departed souls and patience for the bereaved families.
He urged all officials and activists of his forum and his party Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir to suspend their routine work and help the people of the flood-affected areas.
The veteran leader appealed to the people that besides taking the preventive measures they should also hold special prayers to get rid of this situation.
