Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday that the visit of the President of China, Xi Jinping, to Pakistan was postponed due to on-going sit-in protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Islamabad.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Rafique said using women and children as human shield was a dirty politics. "We will comply with the decision of the joint sitting of parliament regarding fate of sit-ins," he said.
He said that if the government had carried out a police action, people would have called it brutality. "We are forced to show restrain as women and children are being used as human shield," Saad said.
"The Chinese President is on South Asian tour, his visit to Pakistan had to be cancelled due to security reasons," he said.
The federal minister said that abusing the national leadership throughout the day was a bad politics.
He stressed the need to end the crisis through negotiations. "Instead of staging sit-ins, PTI and PAT should help flood-hit people," he said.
