The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday issued a fresh notice to the complainant, Arshad Pappu's widow, to respond to a bail application of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) MNA Shahjahan Baloch, one of the accused in the Pappu murder case. A division bench, headed by Justice Shafi Siddiqui, was hearing an application filed by the PPP MNA, through which he assailed the order of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) that dismissed his bail application. The applicant through his counsel pleaded not guilty and requested the court to release him on bail.
During hearing on Thursday, the bench observed that the notice was issued to complainant during the previous hearing but record showed she was not served with notice. Therefore, the bench repeated notice to complainant through investigation officer of the case for September 29.
