Pakistan received foreign inflows of over $ 317.6 million, including $ 315.79 million loans and $ 1.88 million grants in July 2014 out of total budgeted estimates of foreign assistance of $ 7.4 billion, according to the website uploaded by the Economic Affairs Division.
The government received foreign inflows of $ 89.48 million, including $ 68.17 million loans and $ 21.31 million grants in July of 2013 out of total budgeted estimates of foreign assistance of $ 5.74 billion. Pakistan received $ 67.54 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in July while a total of $ 1.092 billion has been budgeted from the bank in the current fiscal year. China is the largest single donor to Pakistan in July and extended $ 242.79 million loan out of $ 1.462 billion budgeted fort the year. International Development Association (IDA) disbursed $ 3.8 million loan to the country out of $ 79.59 million budgeted estimate of financial year 2014-15.
Germany was budgeted to disburse $ 52.61 million in the current year and Pakistan received $ 0.68 million grant in July. Japan disbursed $ 4.1 million loan during this period against the budgeted $ 255.39 million for the year while Korea disbursed $ 0.07 million loan and Kuwait disbursed $0.05 loan million.
The United States gave $ 1.06 million grant to Pakistan for development projects in July out of total $ 357.5 budgeted estimates for the current fiscal year 2014-15. The government has budgeted more than $ 1.5 billion from Australia, Canada, EU, France, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI), IDB [S-Term] , Italy, Norway, Oman, Opec, Saudi Arabia, UK, UNDP, Bond Holder and Consortium of Commercial Banks for the current fiscal year 2013-14; however no disbursements have been made under these heads so far, sources added.
