Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the high achievers of Intermediate Annual Examination 2014 on Thursday. BISE Lahore Chairman Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Virk announced the top position achievers at a press conference. According to details, Ahmed Rehman of Government College University (GCU) having Roll Number 513811 clinched overall first position by securing 1,043 marks.
Muhammad Subhan Saeed, Roll No. 513324, of the GCU and Ifrah Siddiqui, Roll No. 521702, of Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town shared the overall second position as they secured 1,037 marks while Saifa Khalid, Roll No. 521580 of Punjab College for Women clinched overall third position. In Pre-Medical Group (among boys) the first two positions were bagged by Ahmed Rehman and Muhammad Subhan. Muhammad Awais Qarni of the GCU clinched the third position in this group with 1,032 marks. In Pre-Medical Group (among girls), Ambar Akbar of Punjab College for Women bagged first position with 1,027 marks, Sana Shahid of Govt Kinnaird College for Women second with 1,025 marks while Noor-ul-Ain of Punjab College for Women secured third position with 1,024 marks.
Among boys in the Pre-Engineering Group, Arslan Tariq of the GCU and Saweel Hameed of Punjab College of Science shared the first position with 1,033 marks each, Mohammad Jawad Haider of the GCU got second with 1,029 marks and Tahir Mahmood of the same institute remained third with 1,026 marks. Among girls in the Pre-Engineering Group, Ifrah Siddiqui is first achiever, Saifa Khalid second while the third position is bagged by Sana Younas of the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). In General Science Group (among boys) the first position is bagged by Shamsail Ramzan of the GCU with 973 marks, Hamza Mazhar of the same institute second with 972 marks while Muhammad Saadat Atta of Punjab College of Information Technology remained third with 956 marks. In this group among girls, Kainat Saeed of Punjab College for Women clinched first position with 972 marks, Mehak Seedat of Punjab College got second with 965 marks and Iqra Naseem of Punjab College remained third with 958 marks.
Among boys in Commerce Group, all the three positions were bagged by the students of Punjab College of Commerce. Zaeem-ur-Rehman bagged first position with 1,008 marks, Muhammad Tauseef second with 969 marks and Hammad Shafique third with 968 marks. Among girls in Commerce Group, Aqsa Israr of Punjab College for Women secured first position with 1,008 marks, Rimsha Waseem of the same institute second with 987 marks and Tayyaba Noor, a private student, third with 984 marks. In Humanities Group (among boys), Allah Wasaya of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences bagged first position with 954 marks, Saeed Ahmad of Govt Higher Secondary School, Kasur second with 934 marks and Muhammad Ali Zafar of the GCU remained third with 929 marks.
In Humanities Group (among girls), the first position was bagged by Tayyaba Naqeeb of Allama Iqbal Public Higher Secondary School for Girls, Kasur with 994 marks, Amna Aamer of Iqra Huffaz Girls Higher Secondary School, Lahore second with 978 marks and Momina Anwar of Govt Kinnaird College for Women third with 964 marks.
While Government College University, Lahore Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman has congratulated Ravians on securing as many as 11 positions including the overall two positions in the Lahore Board Intermediate Examinations 2014, saying that students' achievements bring glory to their alma mater. GCU student Ahmed Rehman topped the Board Examinations with overall 1,043 marks, while another Ravian Muhammad Subhan stood second with overall 1,037 marks.
According to the Lahore Board Intermediate results, GCU students have secured all three positions in Pre-Medical Group (Boys) wherein Ahmed Rehman stood first with 1,043 marks while Muhammad Subhan bagged second position with 1,043 marks. Muhammad Awais Qarni stood third in the Group. GCU students also got three positions in Pre-Engineering Group (boys) wherein Arslan Tariq, Muhammad Jawad and Tahir Mehmood secured the first, second and third positions with 1,033, 1,029 and 1,026 marks respectively. Ravians secured two positions in the General Science Group (boys) wherein Shamsail Ramzan and Hamza Mazhar bagged the first and second positions with 973 and 972 marks. GCU student Muhammad Ali Zafar stood third in the Humanities Group Boys with 929 marks.
