The taxes collected from urban areas of Sindh such as Hyderabad and Karachi would not be let to spend on development of rural areas of the province, said MQM Zonal In-charge Hyderabad, Naveed Shamsi, while addressing a rally taken out in connection with 61st birth anniversary of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
"We are running the whole country by generating 60 percent of the total revenues from the urban areas of the province," he said adding that despite that Karachi and Hyderabad cities were lacking basic facilities. He warned the government that if MQM's demands were not met, they would create their own province. MQM MNA Muhammad Waseem, MPAs Rahshid Khilji and Sabir Qaimkhani and others were also present on the occasion.
