A monitoring cell has been set up at Sindh University vice-chancellor Secretariat in a bid to keep an active eye on academic activities on the campus and online attendance of students and presence of faculty members in the class rooms. The monitoring cell will work whole the day long and present the report to the vice chancellor on daily basis.
This was unearthed by the vice chancellor Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili while talking to the students in various class rooms. The Vice Chancellor visited chemistry, environmental sciences, fresh water biology, zoology and physiology departments on the campus to review the ongoing educational activities. He asked questions to the students in their class rooms and taught them integration and various formulas of mathematics and IT.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili advised the students to get access to digital library so as to study those 40 thousand books and 25 research journals which are available online. He said these books could also be read through smart mobile phones by using 3G internet but the nexus with the library must not be finished. Defining quality education, Dr Ismaili said that quality education was that which should be acceptable to both nationally and globally adding that SU was providing the students with such schooling.
