'Patrolling Officer to enforce traffic regulation without discrimination'

The Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said mostly heavy & PSVs vehicles were the major contributor in the lane violations and obstruction in the free flow of traffic on national highways. The patrolling officer would enforce the traffic and regulation without any discrimination and fear to continue with maintaining traffic discipline and avoid traffic mishaps.
He was addressing Police Darbar in Kamokey. DIG Zubair Ahmad Hashmi, SSP Munir Ahmad Marth and other officers were present on the occasion. IG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said that the rule of law must be ensured in all respect and no discrimination be made because of any rank and status. He said traffic violation can be controlled by effective enforcement, quality briefing and holding meetings with transporters. He said about 230 Police Officer promotions have been regularised in NH&MP. IG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said NH&MP is known for its courteous, well mannered and friendly dealing with the public.
